Day Trip To Lake Nakuru National Park

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru. You will be picked from your  Hotel at 7:30 am by our Africa Veterans Safaris Ltd Professional Driver Guide who will brief you of your safari there after embark on your safari. Dubbed as “A Bird watcher’s paradise”, Lake Nakuru is famous for hosting thousands if not millions of flamingos. Apart from the flamingos, there are other different bird species at the park; Lake Nakuru National Park has set up a rhino sanctuary to aide in protecting both the white and black rhinos that have seen their population drop to near extinction in recent years.

Lake Naivasha Day Trip

Lake Naivasha full day trip safari from Nairobi takes you to Lake Naivasha the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya which is approximately 100 Kilometers from Nairobi and a 2 hour drive away. Lake Naivasha is located north west of Nairobi, outside the town of Naivasha. It is part of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way you will make a special stop at a viewpoint to enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Once in Lake Naivasha we proceed to Hell's Gate National Park. This is the only park / protected area that allows human activities within the park.

Nairobi National Museum

Nairobi National Museum is located at the Museum Hill, approximately 10 minutes drive from the Nairobi City Centre. It houses some of the most celebrated collections of History, Culture and Art from Kenya and East Africa. The museum aims to interpret heritage of Kenya to stimulate appreciation and learning. Nairobi National Museum tour lasts about 2 Hours and is a great eye opener into Kenya's culture & history.

Carnivore Restaurant

Everyone who comes to Kenya must try the Carnivore Restaurant Nairobi if they are true Meat Eaters! Every type of meat imaginable is roasted on traditional Masai swords (skewers) over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant. The Carnivore Restaurant Nairobi is a unique experience. This open-air meat specialty restaurant has become a standard stop on the safari trail.

Bomas of Kenya

Bomas of Kenya offers you "Kenya in a miniature". It lets you see the wonderful diversity of cultures that make up Kenya. The term Bomas, meaning "homestead", are displayed on your tour; each represent one of Kenya's major ethnic groups, and is built to the original traditional architecture of an African home as built by the ancestors. A Boma is a homestead and just a few kilometers from Nairobi, we have the Bomas of Kenya. Here you will experience the rich culture of Kenya’s 42 different ethnic groups as they live on their day-to-day basis.

Kiambethu Tea Farm Tour

The Kiambethu Estate is located at an altitude of 7000 feet above sea level, in a truly magnificent garden with views of the Ngong hills and has lush acres of tea plantations that seem to vanish in the horizon. Two English families, Mitchell & McDonnell in the early 1900's, built the Estate.

Nairobi National Park

Check out of the hotel immediately after having your early breakfast, and head to Nairobi National Park for your morning game drive. Nairobi National Park is a national park in Kenya established in 1946 and is the first National Park in Kenya. It is located approximately 7 kilometres south of the centre of Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, with only a fence separating the park's wildlife from the metropolis. Nairobi's skyscrapers can be seen from the park.

Karen blixen Museum

A Short tour to the home of the pioneer coffee farmer, Karen Blixen - of "Out of Africa" fame, is now preserved as a museum. A visit to this museum provides an opportunity to step back in time and gain an insight into this remarkable woman's life. Views of the Ngong Hills can be admired from the beautifully landscaped gardens of the museum.

Malindi City Tour - Full Day

With a history dating back to the 14th century, Malindi town was made famous by the visit of the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama when he signed the trade agreement in 1498 and erected the coral pillar which was eventually named after him.

Ngomongo village

Ngomongo Villages is a theme – park original presentation of the ways of life of the rural peoples of Kenya.

BOMBOLULU WORKSHOPS AND CULTURAL CENTER

Bombolulu Workshops and Cultural Centre is located in Mombasa, Kenya, and works with more than 100 people with different abilities, men  and women artisans to help them overcome their physical limitations and empower them economically and socially to become fully integrated members of their communities, also providing social benefits to the workers e.g. Clinic, Nursery School, Social Hall, Sports, HIV Prevention, etc. Bombolulu started in 1969 and the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya took over in 1987. 

HALLER PARK

Haller Park (formerly Bamburi Nature Trail) is located south of the Bamburi cement plant along the Mombasa /Malindi highway. A product of the company's efforts, since 1971, to convert barren landscape of disused limestone quarries into vibrant and diverse ecosystem of forest, grasslands and ponds.

Mamba Village

An awesome tourist attraction that combines wildlife farming, conservation and environment friendly quarry; it is where you will view a good selection of the most interesting members of theimal kingdom in their natural habitat. 

The Fort Jesus

The Portuguese built Fort Jesus in 1593. The site chosen was a coral ridge at the entrance to the harbor. An Italian architect and engineer, Joao Batista Cairato designed the Fort.  Fort Jesus was built to secure the safety of Portuguese living on the East Coast of Africa. It has had a long history of hostilities of the interested parties that used to live in Mombasa. Perhaps no Fort in Africa has experienced such turbulence as Fort Jesus. 

Mombasa city tour

Mombasa is the second largest town in Kenya and is located off the coast of Kenya. It is connected via a ferry to the south side of Mombasa called Likoni, and a causeway to the north called Makupa. The culture and history of the people and town is remarkable. Mombasa is the most diverse town in all of Kenya; Kenyan's of all ethnic backgrounds and religions can be found: native Blacks, Asians, and Arabs who are Muslims, Christians, Hindu and Buddhists.
